Tea for Two

Today was Madelyn's 3rd birthday! We already had a party for her on Sunday so we decided to have her cousin Ella over for a little tea and cake!

Welcome to the first posting of Our lens, Our life!  Myself, along with my wonderful friend, Lauren, of  Lauren Davila Photography will be doing a monthly post of what our real lives look like through our lenses!  This was so much fun and I can't wait to do it again next month! 
 
 What I realized through my day yesterday was to slow down and enjoy life with my kids and these little moments that I caught them in will forever be a memory in my mind!  From bursting into Hayley's room as she was dancing, then coming back later to find her snuggled with her sister, to watching TJ pretty much have a lazy Saturday with his Xbox. No matter what they were doing it was great just to spend the day capturing little moments :)

Finally, I lured him away from his games :)  Handed the camera off to my husband and he actually got a good shot!

Finally time for bed as Maddy reads her version of the Jesus Storybook bible to me :)

Silent Night

It was the most perfect Christmas eve service you could have imagined!  It was full of cute kids telling us the story of Jesus' birth, Candlelight singing and communion.  The worship band had us sing along to some great songs that you could really feel as you sang them.  Surrounded by my family and friends it couldn't get any better!!  Then as we were leaving church we walked outside to a soft, quiet snowfall and that made the perfect end to the night!

Totally had to get outside and try out my new camera.  It wasn't great out but we had fun!!!

Rain, Rain go away.....

Today I planned a wonderful outdoor photo shoot for this great family but it rained all day...so we quickly came up with a backup plan.  I really enjoyed taking these indoor shots today!
